An Israel company has developed a surgical product and technique that could end the need for bras. The company, called Minimally Invasive Mastopexy (MIM), uses a kit produced by the company called the Cup&Up and a surgical procedure, to lift the breasts that have begun to sag. The kit includes a strap of silicone that rests under the breast, as well as threads and anchoring screws that hold the silicone in position and lift it up. The procedure is minimally invasive, in that it requires only two small incisions, and thus it is much safer than most breast augmentation surgeries.
After testing the procedure and kit with silicone breasts in pigs (!), the company is getting ready to begin clinical human trials in the US, Sweden, Brazil and India. No doubt, this will be a popular procedure worldwide.
